Q: I don't have USB power output. Can I use TireHawk product?
You need to find the professional technician to equip USB power port, then you can use that USB port to connect to the TireHawk Wireless Gateway.
Q: How to set up the network for the Wireless Gateway of motorcycle?
You can go to the Setting page of the TireHawk MC App and follow the same procedure to set up the network.
Q: What is the default connection type?
The default connection type is point-to-point connecting your smart phone with TireHawk App installed to the Wireless Gateway. When you install the product for first time, you must find TireHawk and connect it in the WiFi Setup of the smart phone.
This is also the Situation 1 in the description above.
Q: When do I need to go back to the default connection type?
You need to go back to default connection type (Situation 1) in the following cases:
(1) The network setting you activate for the Wireless Gateway does not work. Or
(2) You want to directly connect TireHawk App to the Wireless Gateway if the Hotspot device does not work or lost.
Q: How to go back to the default connection type?
For Android system, please follow the steps below:
*Step 1 : Press the button of the Wireless Gateway for 5 times continuously. Then you find the middle LED indicator fast flashes with the green color for several seconds. That means that the Wireless Gateway is going back to the default settings. If the LED indicator does not fast flash with green, you must repeat the action.
*Step 2 : Go to the WiFi Setup to wait TireHawk to shows up. Connect TireHawk and then you just go back to the default connection type, that is, Situation 1.
For iOS system, please follow the steps below:
*Step 1 : Press the button of the Wireless Gateway for 5 times continuously. Then you find the middle LED indicator fast flashes with the green color for several seconds. That means that the Wireless Gateway is going back to the default settings. If the LED indicator does not fast flash with green, you must repeat the action.
*Step 2 : Go to the WiFi Setup to wait TireHawk shows up. Connect TireHawk.
*Step 3 : Go to the Settings of the TireHawk App and click the button of Back to Default Connection Type, and then the App restarts. After that, you just go back to the default connection type, that is, Situation 1.
Q: Will the TireHawk App automatically run when I restart my smartphone?
Yes. If you want to stop it, you can go to the Settings Page of TireHawk App to click “App Exit” and the App will stop running. Normally, after you set up the connection correctly (Situation 1 or Situation 2), the TireHawk App will run automatically when you get in the car.
Q: How to set up Situation 1 for Android or iPhone users?
For Situation 1, it is simple to directly connect your smartphone with TireHawk App installed to the Wireless Gateway. This is also the default connection type. When you check your WiFi AP list in your smarphone, you will find TireHawk when the Wireless Gateway is turn on. You just connect it and the TireHawk App will work, no matter if your system is Android or iOS.
Q: How to set up Situation 2 for Android users?
For Situation 2, there are several devices. Let’s define:
*Device A : the Android smartphone or pad with TireHawk App installed.
*Device B : the WiFi Hotspot device, no matter if it is Android or iOS system.
*Device C : Wireless Gateway.
Before we set up Situation 2, please make sure that Device A remembers the SSID and password of Device B and can connect to Device B successfully. Now connect Device A to Device C (Situation 1) successfully and follow the steps below:
*Step 1 : Go to TireHawk App Settings Page to fill in the SSID and password of your Device B.
*Step 2 : Activate TireHawk App setting and you will see the TireHawk logo page for a while.
*Step 3 : Go to WiFi setup and make sure if Device A correctly connect to Device B.
*Step 4 : Open TireHawk App, and it will work.
Q: How to set up Situation 2 for iOS users?
For Situation 2, there are several devices. Let’s define:
*Device A : the iPhone or iPad with TireHawk App installed.
*Device B : the WiFi Hotspot device, no matter if it is Android or iOS system.
*Device C : Wireless Gateway.
Before we set up Situation 2, please make sure that Device A remembers the SSID and password of Device B and can connect to Device B successfully. Now connect Device A to Device C (Situation 1) successfully and follow the steps below:
*Step 1 : Go to TireHawk App Settings Page to fill in the SSID and password of Device B.
*Step 2 : Activate TireHawk App setting and you will see the TireHawk logo page for a while.
*Step 3 : Go to the TireHawk App Settings Page to click the “App Exit”.
*Step 4 : Go to TireHawk App Settings Page to fill in the SSID and password of Device B.
*Step 5 : Activate TireHawk App setting and you will see the TireHawk logo page for a while.
*Step 6 : Go to the TireHawk App Settings Page to click the “App Exit”.
Q: How to set up Situation 3 for Android users?
Please connect to the Wireless Gateway first (Situation 1) and make sure that the connection is working well first. Then follow the steps below:
*Step 1 : Go to TireHawk App Settings Page to fill in the SSID and password of your Android smartphone.
*Step 2 : Activate TireHawk App setting and you will see the TireHawk logo page for a while.
*Step 3 : Go to turn on the WiFi Hotspot of your smartphone.
*Step 4 : Open TireHawk App, and it will work.
Q: How to set up Situation 3 for iOS users?
Please connect to the Wireless Gateway first (Situation 1) and make sure that the connection is working well first. Then follow the steps below:
*Step 1 : Go to TireHawk App Settings Page to fill in the SSID and password of your iPhone.
*Step 2 : Activate TireHawk App setting and you will see the TireHawk logo page for a while.
*Step 3 : Go to the TireHawk App Settings Page to click the “App Exit”.
*Step 4 : Go to turn on the Personal Hotspot of your iPhone and wait until there shows 1 connection with blue background. Make sure that there are no other devices connecting to the Hotspot at the same time.
*Step 5 : Open TireHawk App, and it will work.
